about

Every business has a culture
and an impact.

Businesses do not exist in silos, they are deeply connected to our social and environmental well-being. Customers and team members are increasingly taking this into consideration when choosing who to buy from or where to invest their time working.

We need strategies on how to build ethical, relational, and community-based businesses. We also need our businesses to be financially sound and sustainable long-term. We can have both.

Hi, I'm Emily.

I’m a Culture & Impact Strategist for purpose-led entrepreneurs who want to have a positive impact in the lives of their team members, customers, and communities.

With a masters degree in social and environmental psychology and 6+ years of experience working with industry-leading founders, I specialize in balancing company culture aspirations with the real demands of small businesses.

The custom solutions I design are focused on increasing impact, expanding and retaining the customer base, and protecting profits through enhanced team member retention.

fun facts

I'm located in Vermont.

Tucked up in the Northeast U.S. on the lands of the Abenaki Nation, Vermont is known for maple syrup, fall foliage, and long winters.

What many people don’t realize is it’s a community with a strong emphasis on socially and environmentally responsible business practices.

It’s home to businesses like Ben & Jerry’s, Seventh Generation, Burton Snowboards, and Cabot Creamery – all certified B Corporations. In fact, Vermont has the most certified B Corporations per capita.

I’m inspired daily by the natural beauty of the land and the creative and innovative ways people seek to be responsible and relational in their business practices.

I come from a family
of entrepreneurs.

Each one of my immediate family members are small business founders – my mom, dad, and brother.

Growing up, I witnessed the highs and lows of entrepreneurship firsthand.

I didn’t set out to be an entrepreneur, but I must have absorbed something because here I am, 6+ years into having my own business and I can’t imagine it any other way.
